Breast Cancer Awareness

Each year, there are an estimated 40,000 breast cancer related deaths. But when breast cancer is detected in its earliest stages, the 5-year survival rate is 90 percent.

The Community Impact Grant Program for Breast Cancer Awareness allows Medline to focus on the issues and causes we care about and award organizations that offer results driven solutions for their community. The inaugural grants were awarded to organizations on the front lines of patient care, fighting to eradicate breast cancer. To dive deeper into the communities where we live and work, Medline awarded $150,000 to six breast cancer awareness organizations serving diverse groups of patients in all stages of the disease from prevention, early detection and even grief counseling for families and loved ones, from rural towns to big cities.
