We are proud to introduce a new program – Energy Efficient Textiles (EET™) – that promotes hard dollar savings through product performance, energy conservation, and reduced operating costs.
Through our EET™ program, we offer a Medline exclusive – PerforMAX™
– synthetic products constructed with innovative fiber technology. The revolutionary fibers of PerforMAX textiles reduce energy usage due to decreased drying times and fewer rewashes. Medline has worked with industry experts who have analyzed wash and processing costs for each product, paying special attention to the critical areas of water, energy, and
chemical use. We understand that minimizing energy use is essential to your profitability.
Independent lab tests and laundry case studies (see tab above) show that PerforMAX has contributed up to:

It is a key component of Medline’s corporate strategy to be environmentally responsible in every aspect of our business, which spans manufacturing, distribution, supply chain consulting and healthcare-related education.
We believe that conserving resources, reducing emissions and supporting environmental initiatives is, quite simply, smart business. Here are a few examples of how Medline’s own environmental policies and programs are making a difference:
- Medline has implemented a company-wide effort to conserve energy and dramatically lower greenhouse emissions. This comprehensive program included modifications to lighting, temperature control, weatherproofing, recycling and green architecture, and has yielded over $1 million in savings, and reduced greenhouse emissions (CO2) by more than 5.1 million pounds.
- Medline is a premier sponsor of Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet. Cool Globes promotes solutions to global warming by uniting corporations, government and non-profit organizations to increase awareness of global warming through public art, education and events. Launched in Chicago in June 2007, Cool Globes was exhibited in San Francisco, San Diego and Washington D.C. in 2008, and is headed to London in 2009.
- Medline is a participant in the Green Hospital Pilot Project, which is sponsored by The Healthcare Improvement Foundation of the Delaware Valley Hospital Council and funded by an EPA Challenge Grant. The Project is designed to identify, develop, implement and monitor methods to reduce pollution through prudent, environmentally focused supply-chain management.
- Medline requires eco-friendly manufacturing practices at our factories and from our supply partners. We require measurable and reportable environmental responsibility in core business practices that reduce waste, conserve energy and achieve greater supply chain sustainability.
