Sterillium® Comfort Gel™
Efficacy. Comfort. Compliance.

Efficacy

Sterillium Comfort Gel is a scientifically proven, moisturizing, easy-to-use gel. Sterillium Comfort Gel not only meets all FDA test and key use criteria – it far exceeds them. Read on to see how you can improve hand hygiene in your facility!

FDA TFM (Tentative Final Monograph) Time Kill Study

Sterillium Comfort Gel achieves ≥ 5 log10 (≥ 99.999 percent) reduction of all these and 55 other tested germs within 15 seconds (1).

TFM in Vivo Test

Sterillium Comfort Gel not only meets the FDA requirements with an application amount of 2.4 mL, it far exceeds them (2).

Comfort

Alcohol-based healthcare personnel hand antiseptics are intended for frequent, repeated use. Therefore, dermal tolerance is critical: In Human Repeat Insult Patch skin testing with 213 test persons, Sterillium Comfort Gel did not demonstrate any potential for eliciting dermal irritation or sensitization at all points in time (3). Sterillium Comfort Gel increases skin moisture content when used frequently.

Increased Skin Hydration

Sterillium Comfort Gel significantly increases skin hydration after only one week of product usage compared to untreated skin (4).

Compliance

In the United States, one of every 136 patients becomes severely ill as a result of hospital-acquired infections (HAI) (5), leading to about 80,000 deaths per year (6). Better hand hygiene compliance could prevent a large number of these frightful losses. Compliance is intrinsically tied to product acceptance. With Sterillium Comfort Gel, you have a product that can help overcome potential barriers to compliance.
