Truecost

TrueCost, Medline's activity-based supply management program, distinguishes between your actual supply costs and your logistical services so you see exactly what you are paying.

TrueCost then identifies where you can achieve cost savings and efficiencies in those areas and then guarantees those savings by a minimum of 10% from your current expenditures. Most importantly, our goals are aligned with yours since the more efficiently your supply chain is run, the more cost effectively we can operate our business.

ACCESS Consignment

ACCESS reduces inventory investment and improves cash flow. ACCESS enables you to keep your products in your warehouse but you pay for only those products actually used. ACCESS starts by purchasing those products that can be converted to Medline brand products, giving you an immediate cash infusion. In effect, Medline owns your inventory– medical-surgical products, textiles, sterile procedure trays, etc.–but the product remains on site in the quantities you deem necessary. In addition to reducing your investment in your inventory, ACCESS also enables you to reduce product obsolescence costs and extends your payment cycle 45 days or more, so that your payment cycle to Medline often extends beyond third-party reimbursement.

Suture Control

Supply management for sutures and endoscopic products pose several - and expensive - challenges to your facility, including erratic usage, obsolescence and rush orders. Medline's Suture Control program enables you to maintain your inventory in your facility without financial investment. With Suture Control, you will:

ACCESS O.R.

Take our pioneering inventory consignment program and tailor it to the needs of the operating room and you have ACCESS O.R. Your supplies remain in your storeroom but you are billed only after you use them, shifting the cost of your inventory to Medline. With ACCESS O.R., you will also reduce product obsolescence, save on product acquisition costs (usually 8%-10% on Medline products) and improve your inventory management with enhanced reports.

TEXCAP

TexCap is a comprehensive linen supply management program that guarantees to reduce costs on textile product, utilization and distribution expenses. TexCap starts by establishing benchmarks on linen mix, usage patterns, product acquisition and processing costs. Those costs are then lowered, usually 5% to 10%, and capped for the life of the agreement. The guarantee is based on capping the total linen processing and replacement costs per adjusted patient day. TexCap provides mutual incentives for both parties to maximize savings by having Medline and the facility share in the savings once the original goal is met.

Physician-Office DIRECT

Physician-Office Direct is a health care supply management program for physician offices and clinics. The program creates a one-stop-shop for an office's medical supply needs. Physician-Office Direct starts by standardizing supplies and ordering processes across all of a system's locations. All locations can then order from one standard form, resulting in consolidated invoicing, allowing you to more easily identify your supply costs and reducing administrative time. By working with a single source vendor, you reduce time and labor tracking non-stock items. Products are also provided in lowest unit of measure to reduce inventory expenses. At the end of each month, Medline provides manifest billing enabling you to identify all of your supply costs broken out by purchase order, by office or any other way you would like to analyze your purchases.

Surgery Center Supply Management

Similar to our physician and home care programs, the Surgery Center Supply Management Program was designed to streamline a surgery center's ordering process by developing a formulary of often-used medical and surgical products. The formulary standardizes your supplies and eliminates cost inconsistencies and product duplication.

To further help reduce your costs, the program features standard procedure trays for many of your procedures developed in tandem with a committee of perioperative nurses.

Patient-Home Direct

Patient-Home Direct is the industry's leading patient-specific supply management program for home health agencies. Patient-Home Direct helps agencies capture patient charges and reduce nursing staff time and other costs associated with medical supplies by shipping the products directly to the patient's house or to the agency branch in patient-specific packaging.
