Monitoring
Medline’s Advanced Sterilization Monitoring products provide assurance that all cycle parameters have been met. From our Advanced Bowie Dick test card to our Instant Readout Biological Test Pack, Medline® sterility assurance products are created using an advanced form of ink technology to strongly challenge Steam, EO and Plasma sterilizers for increased accuracy and reliability so that processed instruments are completely safe for use in the OR.
Products
Bowie Dick
- Advanced Bowie Dick Card - Simple test card the size of a business card that diagnoses for air leaks and wet steam content. Provides much more accuracy than the traditional Bowie Dick test pack at a cost and space savings.
- Bowie Dick Test Pack - Traditional Bowie Dick Test Pack that tests for air leaks with a distinct blue to black ink color change for clear and distinct interpretation.
Steam Strips
- Class 4 Indicator - Simple paper strip indicator that converts to a PASS condition based on time and temperature conditions inside a sterilizer. Available in 4" and 8" length.
- Class 5 Integrator - Laminated strip that only converts to a PASS condition based on time, temperature and the presence of steam inside a sterilizer. Available in 4" and 8" length.
- Class 6 Emulator - Laminated strip that only converts to a PASS condition based on time, temperature and presence of steam with more accuracy inside a steam sterilizer. Available in 4" length.
- Class 5 Flash Integrator - Laminated strip uniquely designed for Flash Sterilization in either 3 or 10 minute cycles.
EO/Plasma Strips
- EO Gas Integrator - Laminated strip that converts to a PASS condition in the presence of EO gas.
- Plasma Indicator - Plastic Strip that converts to a PASS condition in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. This strip is used for Sterrad® processing.
- Paracetic Acid Indicator - Plastic strip that tests the concentration level of paracetic acid in the Steris® System 1 machine used to disinfect scopes.
Test Packs
- INSTANT Read Steam Biological Test Pack - Biological test pack that contains a steam biological indicator and class 5 integrator card for IMMEDIATE release to the OR. Used for steam sterilization of implant sets/loads.
- Steam Biological Indicators - Individual steam biological indicators.
- INSTANT Read EO Biological Test Pack - Biological test pack that contains an EO gas biological indicator and an EO gas integrator card for IMMEDIATE release to the OR.
- EO Gas Biological Indicators - Individual EO gas biological indicators.
- Load Challenge Test Pack - Test pack that contains a class 5 steam integrator card for IMMEDIATE release to the OR. Used for steam sterilization of non-implant sets/loads.
- INSTANT Read Steam Biological Test for Extended Cycles - Biological test pack that contains a steam biological indicator and class 6 emulator card for IMMEDIATE release to the OR. Used for 8, 10, or 20-minute steam sterilization cycles of implant sets/loads.
Tape
- Steam Tape - Standard Steam Sterilization Tape available in 1” x 60 yards or 3/4” x 60 yards. Offered in beige or blue.
Washer Checks
- Wash Check Strips - Simple strip with protein-based ink that tests an automatic washer for cleaning efficiency.
Record Keeping
- Envelopes - 8 ½” x 11” envelope to record and store data from Steam and EO Gas Sterilization cycles.
- Load Record Cards - 3” x 5” record card used to record a list of instruments being sterilized in either Steam or EO Gas.
