What started with healthcare workers at one hospital in Portland, Oregon has become an international, inspirational dancing phenomenon across the globe. The original pink gloves and pink glove dance began as a fun way to raise awareness about the importance of early detection, and proved an important forward step in the fight to save lives. Pink Glove Dance: The Sequel featured more than 4,000 healthcare workers and breast cancer survivors from the Golden Gate Bridge to Times Square. Overwhelmed by responses and requests to be a part of pink gloves, Medline hosted the 2011 Pink Glove Dance Competition, where 139 hospitals danced to six hit songs across the nation. This year, we're doing it again. Check out our dance moves at www.pinkglovedance.com.
As the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, Medlineis focused on helping to improve lives. So it's a natural extension of our corporate mission to help save lives through early detection of breast cancer. We just like to be a little creative and a little fun with our awareness campaigns, because spreading the word equals saving lives.
Medline hosts several breast cancer awareness breakfast forums throughout the year to help spread the word about the importance of early detection.
Questions about the campaign? Ideas on how to move it forward? We'd love to hear your feedback.
