Microfiber Frequently Asked Questions
How many washings will these microfiber mops last?
- MicroMax Microfiber mops will typically last ~250-300 processings*
- The G2 mops typically last ~500 processings*
Do I use one mop per room?
The wet mops are used one mop per patient room to reduce cross-contamination.
How do I saturate the mops?
For the wet mops, ~150-200cc’s (~6oz) of fluid per wet mop will
give you ~800-1000 sq. ft. of surface area. This amount may have to be modified depending upon the type of floor
and the amount of air flow through the particular unit or room.
Do I still use my current chemicals?
Yes, you still use your current chemicals at the current recommended manufacturer’s dilution rate.
What about large spills?
With large spills such as urine, blood or vomit, a loop mop will work the best to soak up the spill —
you would then want to mop over the area with the microfiber mop for cleaning, or use our new MDT217796 microfiber string mop.
Can I use these in dietary?
It is not recommended to use microfiber mops in the kitchen area due to the large amount of grease that is present.
This will gunk up the individual fibers, preventing them from performing as needed.
